“From last year’s World Pride taking place right here in New York City, to Pride events being cancelled to prevent the spread of the coronavirus and now the Black Lives Matter movement to combat racism and racial violence… as a nation we’re in what I hope to be the final adjustment toward equality. But not just equality for gay rights, but for trans rights, and justice and equality for people of color.”
