December 19, 2018–From business expansions and acquisitions to our move into a new Manhattan office space, VNSNY strengthened and grew in numerous ways in 2018. In this special holiday video, President and CEO Marki Flannery highlights some of the year’s key accomplishments.

12 Days of Compassion Video Series Showcases VNSNY’s Amazing Caregivers

December 13, 2018–To kick off the holiday season, VNSNY’s Development Department is celebrating the work of our talented and caring staff on the organization’s social media channels. On each day of the 12 Days of Compassion project, starting on December 1st and continuing through December 12th, the Department posted short videos highlighting just a few of our many VNSNY caregivers explaining what it means to them to deliver compassionate care to our patients. These moving videos feature VNSNY staff from Home Care, Community Mental Health Services, CHOICE, Partners in Care, and Hospice, and include nurses, physical and occupational therapists, social workers, bereavement counselors and other caregivers. The videos, which can be seen on VNSNY’s Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn pages, have already drawn over 50,000 views to date. “Strength from Within” Employee Giving Campaign Sets New Record!

December 13, 2018–2018 campaign surpasses $70,000 — and it’s not over yet! Thanks to the generosity and commitment of VNSNY’s frontline and support staff, the organization’s Strength from Within Employee Giving Campaign has surpassed its 2018 goal, reaching $70,000 for the first time ever! So far this year, nearly 300 employees have made contributions, and donations continue to roll in as we approach the campaign deadline. Over 40 staff gifts have been directed to VNSNY Hospice and Palliative Care, one of VNSNY’s most emotionally impactful programs. Rivkah Brenenson donated in support of the hospice program because she “wanted to help hospice offer special programs like music therapy”—noting that “every person deserves to have access to good support at end of life.” Jon Kearney “gave to support VNSNY’s Hospice Veterans Program and the outstanding work of Joe Vitti and Sung Yoon.” He added, “They go above and beyond to support those that have served.” Two

The chances are good that you’ll be looking at one or more photographs by Richard Rothstein, Vice President of Enterprise Communications. Over 130 of Richard’s images are displayed throughout the new office’s seven floors, with more to be added soon. The photos are all of New York City—its parks, neighborhoods, buildings and waterways, from the northern Bronx to the beaches of Coney Island. A “Really Special” Event: VNSNY’s 2018 ESPRIT Award Winners Are Honored at November 27th Ceremony

November 29, 2018–From clinicians and other service providers on the front lines to the organization’s administrative support staff, managers, and colleagues in corporate areas, the excellence of VNSNY’s workforce was on full display Tuesday evening at the 2018 ESPRIT Awards. The ceremony honoring this year’s 14 ESPRIT winners drew a full house of family, friends and co-workers to the New School’s University Center at 13th Street and Fifth Avenue. “This outstanding group is part of a long line of remarkably committed and extremely passionate VNSNY staff, stretching all the way back to our founder Lillian Wald’s earliest days,” said Marki Flannery, VNSNY’s President and CEO, as she welcomed this year’s honorees. It’s VNSNY Business Staff Week! How Non-Clinical Staffers Help Support Our Patients, Members and Clients
