New York State HERO Act: VNSNY's Airborne Infectious Disease Prevention Plan

September 3, 2021 – In compliance with the recently passed New York State HERO Act, we are sharing with you VNSNY’s Airborne Infectious Disease Prevention Plan (click here to view). In accordance with this new law, VNSNY is required to devise a plan that is to be activated, implemented, and revised as needed, in the event the New York State Commissioner of Health declares an “outbreak” of any airborne infectious disease, including but not limited to COVID-19. Although no outbreak has been declared at this time, the new law requires us to share this document with our staff. It will also be posted at all VNSNY offices. If you have any questions about the plan or this communication, please email: [email protected].
