VNSNY Celebrates Holi!
The Hindu festival of Holi, also known as “the festival of colors,” concluded this past Monday, March 29. The ancient day and a half long celebration coincides with the lunar calendar, while also marking the end of the Winter season and the beginning of Spring.
Holi comes to signify new beginnings: an opportunity for people to end conflicts and forgive one another, while coming together to celebrate a good Spring harvest.
Many of VNSNY’s own staff celebrate Holi and took part in the festivities, sharing pictures from this year’s festival as well as Holi celebrations from years past. Thank you for sharing your photos with Frontline, and happy Holi!
